New here? Three steps, about two minutes
Do them in any order. Each one ticks itself off.
Why this exists
It started with a mug I left on the shelf in Naples
Middle of summer. Four and a half miles on foot in the heat, and somewhere around mile three my wife asked me why on earth we collect these things.
We got there. I bought the Naples mug. There was an Italia one sat right next to it, and I stood there trying to picture our shelf at home. I was sure we already had it, so I left it.
Back on the ship the kids told me we didn't. It's gone now, unless I pay three times the price online. It wasn't the first time either.
So I built the thing I needed. Something I could check in the shop, with the mug in my hand and no signal.
Then it grew. Plenty of places don't sell a mug, so I bring back whatever I can find. My home bar is full of travel memorabilia now and I love every bit of it. Not for what any of it is worth. For what it brings back.
Turns out I'm not the only one. Lots of collectors have asked me for the same thing: a home for the rest of it. The magnets, the keyrings, the trips where there was no mug at all. So now there is one.
Get friends round, put the coffee on, and sooner or later somebody picks something up and asks where it's from. Twenty minutes later everyone's talking about their holidays. That's what all of this is really for.
SimonCollector, and the person who reads every message you send
What this is
A home for every trip you've brought back
It started with mugs. Now it keeps the whole trip together: where you went, who you were with, what you carried home, and the photos that go with it. Free to use, and it works with no signal.
Tick off your mugs
Search a city and tap the ones on your shelf. Check it in the shop before you buy and you'll never bring home a double again.
Keep everything else you brought home
Magnets, keyrings, shot glasses, ticket stubs. If it came back in the suitcase it has a place here, mug or no mug.
Watch your map fill in
Every country you've collected from and every place you've stood, even the ones you left with nothing. It's usually fewer than people think, which is half the fun.
Write down who you were with
The month, the people, the bit you still laugh about. A minute now. In ten years it's the part you'll be glad you kept.
Turn it into something you can hold
Your map framed for the wall. A trip as a real postcard. A holiday photo as a fridge magnet. All made from what you've already logged, nothing to design.
Things worth knowing
Your collection is yours
No account needed to tick off your collection — that all saves straight to this browser, which is why it works with no signal. Clearing your browser would wipe it, so there is a Log in tab at the end of the menu where you can either make it follow you across devices, or just back it up to a file.
An account also lets you keep photos of your own mugs and see what other collectors paid. Both need somewhere to live, so with an account your collection is stored on a server as well as here. Nobody else sees your photos unless you offer one for the shared catalogue, and nobody sees what you paid unless you say yes when asked.
Want this as an app?
Add it to your home screen and it opens like any other app, with no download and no app store. It works with no signal either, which a lot of proper apps do not.
iPhone: open this page in Safari, tap the Share icon, then "Add to Home Screen."
Android: open this page in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu, then "Add to Home Screen."
Not sure which series you have?
There are eight of them and they are deliberately similar. Which one? in the menu tells you how to spot the difference in about thirty seconds.
The few things here that cost money
Everything above is free and stays free. What we sell is made from trips you've already logged. A postcard with your photo on the front and your story on the back. Your map, printed. A magnet from a holiday photo.
Postcards from £1, your map from £9.99 as a file, a real magnet from a trip photo from £15, and your map or a trip framed for the wall from £37. You don't have to buy anything to use the rest of this.
Trade
Swap your spares for the mugs you're missing
Put a spare on the board, or the one you're hunting, and the board shows you who matches. Free, and nothing goes public until you choose it.
How a swap works
Three steps. Nothing public until you say so.
A spare you'd swap, or one you're hunting. Only that mug shows. The rest of your shelf stays private.
Other collectors see the mug and your handle. Never your name, your email or where you live. A red number on the Trade tab means somebody is waiting on you.
Contact details only swap once you've both agreed. Post it, meet up, whatever suits you. We never see the message and never take a penny.
Stay sensible. We're a noticeboard, not part of your trade, so there are no checks and no insurance. Post it tracked, photograph the mug first, and never send money for one you haven't seen.
Which one?
Eight series, and most people have been calling theirs the wrong thing for years
No shame in it, they are deliberately similar. Pick one up, look at the base, then feel how thick the wall is. Thirty seconds and you will know exactly what is sat on your shelf.
Help us get this right
This grouping is put together from public collector knowledge, and collectors know it better than we do. Some series overlap, some regions got their own runs, and a few never went on general sale at all. If something here is wrong, say so and it gets fixed.
☕ My mugs
0 of 0Find a mug, tap + I own it. Tap again if you've got a spare. ★ Want for the ones you're hunting.
Own one that is not on the list?
Add yours and it goes straight into your collection, counts on every screen, and travels in your backup. It gets sent over here too, so the master list gets better for the next person.
Something here look wrong?
Wrong series, wrong country, a mug listed that was never made, a name spelt badly. The list is put together from public collector records and it will have mistakes in it. You know these better than we do.
Your progress
What happens to your spares
This bit's just for you, for now. Marking a mug spare here doesn't list it anywhere yet — nobody else can see it. Head over to the Trade tab and tap it onto the board when you're ready to put it in front of other collectors.
From there it's simple: you publish, someone hunting that mug taps ask, you both say yes, and only then do contact details ever swap — never before, never through us. We don't buy, sell, or hold a single mug, and we never take a penny of what you agree.
The board only works if the spares are on it. Every one you publish is a match somebody else has been waiting for — and log what you're after too, so it works back the other way for you.
This is what it looks like when you keep going.
From collectors' shelves
Souvenirs
Everything else you brought home
The magnet on the fridge. The shot glass in the cabinet. The keyring you still use. Not every place sells a mug, and the best souvenirs are usually the ones you never planned to buy.
Give each one its trip back. When it was, where it was from, and the photo that goes with it.
How to add one, about a minute
Find the place
Tap + Log a trip, type where it came from, and tap A magnet or Something else.
Say roughly when
Pick the month you were there and tap Save. That turns the place into a trip, and a trip is what a souvenir belongs to.
Add what you brought back
Under Other things from this trip, type what it is and tap Add it. Add a trip photo while you're there and it shows up here with it.
It counts on your map. Every place you brought something back from shows as Travelled on Been there, and the souvenir is right there when you tap its pin.
Collectors asked for this. Lots of you wanted somewhere for the rest of the trip as well as the mug. So here it is.
Turn one into a real magnet. Any souvenir with a trip photo can be printed as a 4 inch fridge magnet and posted to you, from £15. Delivery up to 10 working days.

Prices
Real prices, from real purchases
Everything published anywhere else is what sellers are asking. This is what collectors here have paid. They are not the same number, and the gap is the whole reason this exists.
🛒 When you're buying
Know if it's a fair price before you pay it
- Stood in a shop abroad, or looking at a listing online? See what collectors actually paid for that exact mug, not what a seller hopes to get.
- The price sits right next to the mug's name in My mugs, so the answer is there while it's still in your hand.
- Spot the listing that's asking three times what anyone has paid, and walk away from it.
🤝 When you add yours
Your receipt helps the next collector
- Every price you add makes the range more accurate for somebody deciding right now.
- Never shown with your name. Nothing appears until at least two different people have paid for the same mug.
- You're asked once, nothing is ticked for you, and you can switch it off any time.

A real range appearsfor everyone, in the money it was paid in
Takes two minutes · live straight away
Add what you paid
Every figure on this page exists because somebody did this first. The next collector standing in a shop wondering if £35 for Prague is fair is relying on you to log yours.
Every mug we can put a figure to
Tap any mug to see the working — how many purchases, what the range was, and when. Sorted A to Z unless you change it.
Add what you paid below and this fills in. It is your own figure, so it is the one number here we can stand behind today.
How a price gets here
Two different collectors have to have recorded buying it. Below that it says nothing at all — one price is one person's receipt, not a market, and it would identify them. Most mugs stay quiet for a while, which is the honest way round rather than the impressive one.
Prices also sit beside the name in My mugs, including on mugs you do not own — which is the point, if you are stood in a shop holding one. Nothing is averaged across currencies, and where two collectors disagree wildly it says so rather than splitting the difference.
Your own prices are only ever included if you said yes when asked, never with your name attached. Change your mind any time on the Log in tab. The longer version.
What you paid
Tap a mug to put in what it cost you. It opens on the ones you have not done yet, so the list gets shorter as you go.
Stories
Your stories
Every trip, who you were with, and what you remember.
✉️ Fancy a postcard from your own travels?
The Sunday Postcard lands every other Sunday. It picks out a trip still waiting for photos, a story that needs a line, and what's new in the shop. Five fun minutes, then back to your Sunday. Stop it any time.
How this works
A story is one trip: where, when, who with, and what you remember. Somebody picks up something from your shelf and asks where it's from. This is how you answer. The heat, the walk, who moaned, who paid.
- Add a story at the top. Pick the place, the month and who you were with. Mug or no mug, it all counts
- Add up to 3 photos for every place, every trip. Pick them all in one go
- Tap any name to see every trip you've done together
- Got a mug from that trip? Tap it on My mugs and its story lands here too
The month is the magic bit. It puts the trip on your map, and it's what turns into a postcard, a magnet or a frame in the shop. No month, nothing to make.
The ones still waiting
Every mug here was somewhere you actually stood. The ones without a story are the ones where only you know what happened, and only for now.
Why it is worth the minute
Go and look at the oldest mug on your shelf. Now say the month. Most people cannot, and it is not a bad memory. Nobody writes it down at the time, because at the time it feels obvious.
Who you were with goes first, and it goes quietly. The mug stays. The place stays. Who was stood next to you in that shop is the part that fades, and it is the part you will want back.
The one thing this actually gets you
- A postcard of that exact day, your own photo on the front and the story already written on the back. Built from nothing but the date, who you were with and what you remember, typed in here once. No story, no card. Tap Make this a Postcard on any story to make one

🎁 Give a friend a free postcard, get one yourself
Send your link to someone who travels. When they make a free account they get a digital postcard, and once they've confirmed their email, so do you. Up to 10.
No account? Back it up instead
Without an account everything is saved in this browser and nowhere else. Clear your history or change phone and it is gone. Back it up and it never can be — the same file loads straight back in.
Why we keep you signed in
So the app works where you need it — stood in a shop, holding a mug, deciding. Being asked for a password at the till defeats the entire point of it.
Staying signed in stores a token in your browser. That is the only thing we keep on your device, it is not used to follow you anywhere else, and Log out above clears it whenever you want.
Delete my account and everything in it
Your collection, your notes, your want list, your email address. All of it, gone, and not recoverable.
Email hello@collectmytrip.com from the address you signed up with, asking us to delete your account. It is done within 30 days and usually within a few. You get a note back confirming it, and you do not have to give a reason.
A one-tap button is being built. Until it exists the email route is the real one, and it works.
Want a copy first? Ask in the same email, or use Back up my collection above — that file is yours and it is complete.

What is missing, what is wrong, and what you want building next
This is one person building it, not a company with a roadmap. Everything on this site started as somebody saying they wished it existed. The magnets people keep asking about got on the list exactly this way.
What was on the list, and is now done ✅
The three things this card said were coming. All three are live.
- Gift cards, £20, £50 or £100, in the Shop
- Still to get: the mugs you missed in places you've been, on My mugs and the map
- A proper timeline, your trips in the order you took them, on Stories
So the list is empty, and that's where you come in. Tell us below what should be next. Everything on this site started as somebody asking.
Say anything
A mug that is missing or listed wrong. Something that does not work on your phone. A feature you keep reaching for and it is not there. A product you would actually buy. Or just tell us it is rubbish and why.
You do not need an account and you do not have to leave your email. Leave it only if you want an answer back.
What actually happens to it
It is read, and it is counted. Requests for things we do not have get tallied, and when the same thing crosses roughly twenty separate asks it gets properly costed rather than argued about.
Counted is not the same as promised. Some things will get built, some will get a straight no with a reason. What will not happen is your message vanishing into an inbox nobody opens.

What we hold, and what we do with it
Last updated 4 October 2026 (framed prints by Printful, the Sunday Postcard, and the collector boards). If this ever changes in a way that matters, the date changes and anyone with an account is told.
CollectMyTrip is run by one person, in the UK. There is no advertising on this site, nothing is sold to data brokers, and there is no tracking of you across other websites. What follows is the detail behind that.
Who is responsible for your data
CollectMyTrip is a trading name of Simon Dennis, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. He is the data controller and is legally responsible for the information described here.
Contact for anything on this page, including deletion requests: hello@collectmytrip.com.
If you do not make an account
Your collection lives in your own browser, on your own device. It is never sent to us and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data deletes it, and we cannot get it back for you — which is why there is a backup button.
If you do make an account
Your collection is stored on a database in London so it can follow you between devices. That means we hold it, and in principle it can be read by the person who runs the site. We do not browse it, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone.
What is stored:
- Your email address, and a password we never see in readable form
- Which mugs you have marked as collected, spare or wanted
- Any notes, dates and names you choose to write against them
- The date you joined and the date you last synced
- Any photos you add of your own mugs and trips, stored on Cloudflare. The location your camera recorded is stripped out before the photo ever leaves your phone
- Whether you said yes or no to sharing what you paid, and the date you answered
We do not ask for your date of birth or your phone number, and your account needs no real name or address. If you order something printed, Stripe asks for your name and delivery address at checkout and it is passed to the printer making that order, for that order only. Everything is paid through Stripe, who handle your card details directly. We never see or store them.
Buying from the shop
Payment is taken by Stripe. Printed items are made and posted by two printers: Prodigi makes postcards and magnets (UK addresses), and Printful makes framed prints (UK, US and Canada, each made in that country). The printer gets the finished print file, your name and your delivery address, and nothing else. The print file is deleted automatically 30 days after the order, so a damaged or wrong item can still be reprinted, and it is never used for anything else or added to the catalogue. A digital card or map file is drawn on your own phone and never leaves it.
Delivery: up to 10 working days in the UK, up to 14 working days to the US and Canada. Gift cards are emailed, usually within minutes. They are used on one order, last 12 months, and any amount not spent on that order is not kept.
Personalised goods, like a postcard, magnet or frame carrying your own photograph or map, are exempt from the 14 day right to cancel once you have been told that before buying, which this page and the shop page both do. Printed orders go straight to print the moment you pay, which is why you see exactly what you are getting before you buy. If anything arrives wrong, damaged or badly cropped we reprint it free and you send nothing back.
A digital card is yours the moment you download it, and downloading it ends the 14 day right to cancel on that purchase — you are asked to confirm you understand this before paying, and nothing is pre-ticked.
What you paid, and the choice you get
You can record what you paid for a mug. That is yours, and by default it goes no further. It shows on your own collection whatever you decide here.
The first time you record a price we ask a plain question: can we include it, anonymously, in what other collectors see? Nothing is pre-ticked and no answer is assumed. Saying no changes nothing about how the site works for you.
If you say yes:
- Your name is never shown and never stored against a price. There is no way to trace a figure back to you
- Nothing is published unless at least two different people have recorded buying the same mug. One price is one person, and one person is identifiable
- Only counts and ranges are shown, never your individual figure
- Currencies are never mixed together
- Only people with an account can see any of it. It is not on the public site
You can change your mind at any time on the Account tab. Turning it off removes your prices from what other people see, not just future ones.
Why we are allowed to hold it
| What | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Email and password | To sign you in and keep your collection attached to you | Performance of a contract |
| Your collection and notes | It is the entire service you asked for | Performance of a contract |
| What you paid, shared with others | So collectors can see what these actually sell for | Consent — and only if you said yes when asked |
| The Sunday Postcard | A fortnightly email built from your own collection: trips missing photos, stories missing a line, and what is new in the shop | Legitimate interests. On for members, and you can say no at sign up, on the Account tab, or with the link in every email |
| Visit counts | To know whether anyone is using it | Legitimate interests |
Staying signed in
If you log in, a token is stored in your browser so you are not asked for a password every time. That is not for tracking — it is so the app works stood in a shop, holding a mug, where being asked to type a password would defeat the point of it.
Log out in the app clears it. No cookie banner appears on this site because nothing here is used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Companies that handle data on our behalf
| Who | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Accounts and collections database | London, UK |
| Cloudflare | Storing the photos you add of your own mugs | Western Europe |
| Netlify | Serving the website and handling messages sent through forms | USA and global |
| GoatCounter | Counting visits and button taps, no cookies | EU |
| Stripe | Taking payment for everything in the shop. They see your card details, we never do | UK / EU / global |
| Prodigi | Printing and posting postcards and magnets. Gets the print file, your name and delivery address | UK |
| Printful | Printing, framing and posting framed prints. Gets the print file, your name and delivery address | Made in the UK, US or Canada, run from the USA |
| Resend | Sending gift cards, the emails about trades, and the Sunday Postcard | USA |
Netlify, Printful and Resend are based in the United States, so some data reaches there. Both operate under recognised safeguards for transfers out of the UK. Nobody else receives your data, and it is never sold.
Analytics, and what we deliberately do not do
Visits are counted with GoatCounter. It records the page, the rough country, where the visit came from, and a count of taps on a few buttons, like buy and share, never who tapped them. It uses no cookies, does not build a profile of you, and cannot follow you to other websites.
There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no advertising network, and no third-party tracker of any kind on this site.
The collector boards
Logged in members can see eight top 10 boards, like most active and biggest shelf. To work them out we count what is already in your account (mugs ticked, stories, photos, prices logged, spares listed, trades) and the days you open the app while logged in. Only the counts are shown. Never your email, your mugs, your photos or what you paid.
Every member gets a collector number when they join, in the order they joined, and shows on the boards as that ("Collector #12") unless they choose a board name on the Account tab. Clear the name and you go back to your number. Monthly winners get a free digital postcard added to their account.
The Sunday Postcard
Every other Sunday morning, members get one email built from their own collection: a trip still waiting for photos, a story missing a line, mugs without their own photo, and what is new in the shop. It is on for every member unless you turn it off.
- Say no at sign up with the "No thanks" box
- Switch it off any time on the Account tab
- Or tap Stop at the bottom of any Sunday Postcard. One tap, no login
To write it, we read your own collection, nobody else's, and nothing about you is ever in anyone else's email. It is sent by Resend. Members who joined before 4 October 2026 were told by email when it was switched on.
How long it is kept
Your account and collection are kept for as long as your account exists. Ask us to delete it and it is gone within 30 days, usually within a few days, including from routine backups within a further 30 days.
If you unsubscribe from emails, we keep a record of your address on a suppression list so we do not accidentally email you again. That is the only thing kept afterwards, and you can ask for that to go too.
Your rights, and how to use them
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Show you everything we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your account and everything in it
- Send you a copy in a file you can take elsewhere
- Stop using it in a particular way, or withdraw your consent to emails
Email hello@collectmytrip.com from the address you signed up with. You do not have to give a reason, and it is free. We answer within 30 days.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first, but you do not have to.

Email hello@collectmytrip.com from the address you signed up with and ask. Everything goes — collection, notes, want list, email address — and it cannot be recovered afterwards.
A one-tap button is being built. Until it exists, the email route is the real one and it works. Want a copy of your collection first? Ask in the same email, or use Back up my collection in the app before you write.
Children
This site is not intended for children under 13, and accounts must not be created by them. If you believe a child has made an account, tell us and we will delete it.
If something goes wrong
If data held here were ever exposed, anyone affected would be told directly and promptly, and the Information Commissioner's Office would be notified where the law requires it. You would hear it from us, not find out later.
Terms of use
The rules, and what we do and do not promise
What this is
A free tool for keeping track of souvenir mugs you own, where you have been, and the stories behind them. The tracking itself is, and always will be, free. Things made from your own trips can be bought separately: framed prints (made by Printful), postcards and magnets (made by Prodigi), digital files and gift cards, all paid through Stripe. See Buying from the shop above for what that means for your data.
The catalogue will contain mistakes
It is assembled from public collector records, and it is not complete or perfect. A mug being listed here is not proof it exists, and a mug missing from here is not proof it does not.
Entries are marked Verified, Listed, Member added or Disputed so you can see how much weight to put on each one. Found something wrong? Tell us — that is how it gets better.
Prices are guidance, never a valuation
Any price shown is an observation — what other collectors here have recorded paying, or what similar items have been advertised or sold for elsewhere. It is not a professional valuation, it is not an offer, and it is not advice. Do not rely on it alone for insurance, probate, tax, or deciding what to pay or accept.
Mug prices move with condition, variant, region and luck. If money matters, get a proper valuation from a qualified valuer.
We are not part of any trade between members
We do not buy, sell, hold, ship, vet, insure, or take a cut of anything. If the site ever introduces two members to each other, what you then agree is entirely between you — including price, postage, condition and what happens if it goes wrong.
Take the same care you would with any stranger online.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you
- You must be 13 or over
- Do not upload anything that is not yours, or anything unlawful, abusive or misleading
- Do not scrape, bulk-copy or resell the catalogue
- We can suspend an account that is being used to harm other members. We will say why
What you write stays yours
Your stories, your notes and your photographs belong to you. By putting them here you allow us to store and display them back to you so the service works. We do not claim ownership, we will not publish them elsewhere without asking, and deleting your account removes them.
Nobody's brands but their own
CollectMyTrip is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any retailer, manufacturer or brand. Series and product names are used only to describe collectable items, and all trade marks belong to their owners.
No promises about uptime
This is a free service built by one person in evenings and weekends. It may be unavailable, it may change, and it may contain errors. Back up your collection. The button is there for a reason.
Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud — the law does not allow that and we would not want it to.
What we are responsible for if something goes wrong
If something bought here causes you a loss, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not responsible for indirect losses — a missed occasion, a gift arriving late, or something similar — though we will always try to put a genuine mistake right.
This does not affect, and is not meant to limit, any right you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded by agreement, including the liability for death, personal injury and fraud stated above.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not take away rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
